Introduction to Jewellery Making. 6 week term MONDAY DAY CLASS 10.30am to 2pm Commencing February 3 2020
Ever wanted to learn how to make your own jewellery? This intro course will take you through all the basics of jewellery making...metal properties and selection, sawing, filing, soldering and basic cabochon stone setting. Along the way you will complete projects to put these skills to use and enhance your design skills. You will finish this course with a thirst for more! Intermediate and advanced classes will also be available.
One night or day per week over 6 weeks.
- Mondays - 10.30 to 2pm OR
- Wednesdays - 6pm to 9pm
Class Cost $360 (equates to $60 per class)
Deposit* of $60 required to secure spot
Remainder of class cost to be paid prior to start date. Will be invoiced and can be paid via eft or paypal.
Small class sizes to ensure you have personalised attention (minimum class of 3 people, max 4). All tools and practice materials (copper, brass and aluminium) are provided. However any precious metal (silver and gold) and gems that the student would like to use are available at an additional cost (market).
Classes are conducted in my working studio set amongst the gumtress on our farm 10 minutes from Lismore. 144 Flood Reserve Road, Ruthven 2480
I have a Bachelor of Fine Art with a Major in Gold and Silversmithing and a long history of teaching at both Griffith University and in private settings. I absolutely love exposing people to the possibilities of creating within the Contemporary Jewellery space.
*Due to small class sizes Deposit is not refundable. Full course fee to be paid 7 days prior to course commencement.
