This range was sparked by the discovery of the most beautiful bee on the floor of my studio. He was golden and fluffy with opal blue stripes on his behind - he was a native blue banded bee. I embarked on some bee research and came up with such interesting tidbits - life in a beehive is established with extraordinary wisdom behind it! In iconography and symbolism bees represent mother earth. The temperature inside a bee hive is the same as human body temperature. Many ancient civilisations have made connections between bees and the sacred feminine. They are symbols of the wise industry of nature, the want for a better world and intelligent design.
