I love it when I know where things are headed.... pieces I make I mean. Made this satchel for friends to give to their Dad for his birthday...such a lovely bloke too. Many years of use ahead, need to make one for myself now.
With the house build kicked off, thoughts are now turning to THE MOVE. Though we be practiced at such events (12 moves in as many years), when kids and home businesses are involved there is more to it than packing and labelling boxes. For many years I have fantasied about life in a caravan/boat/tepee/cabin and the like. Somewhere where accumulation of stuff is not easy purely by the restraint of space and my favorite thing - built in furniture. If you like to dream about downsizing....here's some inspiration. about time I say.... first blog post. I've been busy creating new leather pieces (keep your eyes peeled for new jewellery next post). I am absolutely loving the current phase of experimentation with leather. Have developed a new patterning technique that is somewhat low tech but am really enjoying the meditative effects of drawing. The results are visible on the new chevron purse. While I'm obsessing about the next project, in the back of my mind, creeping ever closer my eyeballs, is the proposition that we move in a month or so and I have to work out how to pack up my life and my studio and live very simply for a few months while the house is completed. Anyone got any suggestions?
