Hello. My name is Kylie Gartside.  I am an artist and have been designing and  making jewellery for more than 10 years.  I have a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in gold and silversmithing from the Queensland College of Art and have exhibited both at home and internationally.

Currently I work from my home studio in the heritage area of Woolloongabba in Brisbane with fellow local artisans. I am passionate about creating and making, while leaving as small a footprint on our planet as possible. I source most of my materials locally and all of the sterling silver in my work is recycled metal sourced in Australia.  I find my inspiration everywhere, usually where I least expect it.  I take many of my cues  from nature and travels - both real and virtual; the everyday experiences and those of an extraordinary nature. I believe my pieces tell a story that goes beyond conventional adornment and you can be assured that all of my pieces are made with care and passion. They are pieces that each wearer then imbues with their own story.
